Dec 09, 2018 I am using Splice to download and try out plug-ins on Studio One 4 Pro. Every time i launch the program, on the messages menu it says 'failed to launch plug-in scan process!' Another 'workaround' that worked for me for now instead of staying online was to run version 4.1.4 let all plugins scan then turn plug in scan off save, then when launch 4.5 it skips plugin scan and all 3rd party plugins showed. Yes, I have an answer and wanted to share it with the community…just in case you’ve never had this happen and ever need this little tip. This happens when any plug-in crashes. Rather than stop the Studio One launch process, it intelligently Blacklists the problem plug-in.This is great because S1 will ignore the plug-in when it launches so that you don’t keep having the same problem. But what do you do once you’ve downloaded and updated copy of the plug-in? Studio One still ignores it and I can’t use it.
Here’s what you need to do:Auto tune music programs for windows.
1.Open Studio One Preferences and click the Locations icon.
2. Select the VST Plug-ins tab.
3.At the middle-left side of the window, you’ll see a check box (“tick box” if you’re not American) labeled “Scan at Startup.” Make sure this box is checked.
4.Now click the button labeled “Reset Blacklist.
5.Once you’ve done this, you should restart Studio One.
Studio One will then rescan your plug-ins and, providing you’ve fixed the problem with the plug-in in question, S1 should now load it properly and you should have access to it in your Instruments/FX tabs in the Browser.

1. Is Your Setup A Supported Specification?

2. Do you have bad memory installed on your computer?
There is always a temptation to buy cheap memory to use in your computer, but it is cheap for a reason, however you can get some bargains on quality memory from brands like Crucial, OWC and Kingston, so that is worth checking out. If you are having problems and need to check if the issue is related to bad RAM then the way to test this is as follows.

- Turn off your machine and place it on a static free workspace.
- Carefully remove one stick of the RAM and then restart your machine.
- See if the error occurs, if it does then repeat the process replacing the stick you took out and removing another stick.

3. Do you have a bad plug-in?
